Why SAI GEETAMs

Carnatic music is taught the way it has always been taught — one teacher, a small group of students, families who care, and a long arc of patient practice. The tools we use to keep track of it shouldn't get in the way of that. SAI GEETAMs was built for the small music school: the teacher running classes from their home, the student learning swaras and kritis week by week, and the parent who simply wants to know when the next class is and how their child is doing. It is not a marketplace, not a streaming service, and not a social network. It is a calm, focused place for one class to live.

What you can do

SAI GEETAMs gives each person in the class a space designed for what they actually do.

The teacher's space holds a class roster, a calendar of sessions across each term, attendance for every session, and notes for individual students. Makeup requests, term enrollment, and class messages all sit in one place, so a teacher can plan a week without juggling spreadsheets, group chats, and a paper register.

The student's space is intentionally simple: today's class, this week's calendar, a short daily practice log with minutes and a note, and a gentle progress view that tracks skills across levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced — along with badges that mark milestones like attending the first class, keeping a five-class streak, or completing a perfect month.

The parent's space gives a clear picture without ever getting in the way. A weekly schedule, the child's attendance and progress, and class messages — read-only where it should be, with everything the parent needs to know and nothing more.

Built for teachers, students, and families

SAI GEETAMs is built specifically for small Carnatic music classes — the kind that meet weekly, run on terms, and grow slowly. The interface is dark and unhurried, with a saffron accent that nods to the tradition without being decorative. Skill levels, term enrollment, attendance, and makeup classes all reflect how a music class actually runs, rather than borrowing patterns from generic learning apps.

Privacy and trust

SAI GEETAMs is designed to be safe for children and respectful of families. Verifiable parental consent is required before any student under 13 has an account, and a parent can review or request deletion of their child's data at any time. There is no behavioural advertising, no third-party analytics, and no data sold or shared with marketers. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and a student's records are visible only to their teacher, themselves, and their linked parent or guardian. Annual privacy reviews are part of the design, not an afterthought.
